ABC Plumbing: the demo I use instead of a sales pitch

ABC Plumbing isn't a real business — it's the placeholder name I built this demo under. The calls are still real: unscripted, live, running against a system I actually built, not a script or a screen recording.

The business problem

A prospect hearing "AI voice agent" has no way to tell if that means a real working system or a slide with a microphone icon on it. Plumbing calls are also a clean way to show it: a business where every missed ring is a customer calling the next name on the list.

The system response

The agent, Emma, picks up and asks whether the call is an emergency or can wait. An emergency like a burst pipe gets flagged immediately with a safety instruction instead of a booking attempt. A routine call moves straight into booking: name, callback number read back digit by digit, full address, a price range quoted on the spot, and the appointment confirmed out loud before the call ends.

Real calls, unedited

Designed outcomes

  • A burst-pipe call gets flagged and escalated immediately, not queued for a callback
  • Routine bookings are confirmed in one call, with the phone number read back to catch mistakes
  • A price range is quoted before the caller commits to anything
  • Stays inside real business hours even when a caller asks for a slot outside them
