Running a food delivery business from WhatsApp

Order-to-delivery automation for a home tiffin service — replacing a manual spreadsheet-and-phone-calls routine with a connected system.

The business problem

A small food delivery operation was tracking orders, payments, and daily delivery routes by hand across WhatsApp chats, phone calls, and a spreadsheet. Mistakes were easy and invisible until a customer complained.

The system response

Customers order over WhatsApp, payment is collected automatically through Razorpay, and the day's deliveries are scheduled without anyone re-typing an order twice. If a step fails, the owner is alerted immediately instead of finding out the next day.

Designed outcomes

  • Orders captured once, not re-entered by hand
  • Payment collected automatically at checkout
  • Daily delivery schedule built without manual sorting
  • Instant alerts when something breaks, not silent failures
